About Meaghan
Meaghan reads, cooks, eats and then blogs about it. 'The edible library' is a journal of her quest to be well-fed and well-read. This site features recipes, thoughts on food & drink, books, life and general musings. Recipes are primarily a modern-Canadian take on lowbrow gastronomy, but Korean and Japanese recipes also show up often. Meaghan spent a bit less than two years in South Korea, so hopes to teach herself to cook Korean food to remember tastes and experiences from the 'Land of the morning calm'. She is devoting a lot of time and effort to the search for a perfect homemade kimchi recipe. She tries to cook Japanese food to impress her half-Japanese boyfriend, and because she likes it. She very much appreciates your comments, suggestions and even criticisms, so do say 'hello'! She also hopes you'll allow her the pretension of writing about herself in the third person, just this once. Thank you for reading!
